Gazi Husrev-beg Museum
The city’s great benefactor
About Gazi Husrev-beg Museum
The museum on Sarači tells the story of Gazi Husrev-beg (1480–1541), governor of Bosnia and the greatest benefactor of Ottoman Sarajevo, whose endowment built the mosque, madrasa, bezistan, baths and library at the heart of the bazaar. Our advice: visit it with his mosque, a few steps away.
