About Sacred Heart Cathedral
The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was built between 1884 and 1889 to a design by Josip Vancaš, in a neo-Gothic style inspired by Notre-Dame in Dijon. Its twin towers appear on the city’s coat of arms and flag.
