About Lukomir
Lukomir, on the Bjelašnica plateau, is the highest village in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at about 1,500 metres. Its stone houses with steep roofs perch on the rim of the Rakitnica canyon, and a few families still keep sheep. The road is usually passable only from late spring to autumn.
