Ferhadija & the Austro-Hungarian centre
Step over the line on Ferhadija and the city changes: wide streets, Habsburg façades, the Catholic and Orthodox cathedrals, the theatres and the cafés of the centre.
About Ferhadija & the Austro-Hungarian centre
From the Meeting of Cultures line, Ferhadija runs west past the Sacred Heart Cathedral to the Eternal Flame and Maršala Tita street. The side streets hold the Ashkenazi Synagogue across the river, the National Theatre and many of the best cafés and bars.
This is where Sarajevo shops, meets friends and takes its evening stroll.
