About Trams
Sarajevo had one of the first tram systems in Europe, with horse trams from 1885 and electric trams from 1895. Today trams run along the main avenue from Ilidža, past the railway station and Marijin Dvor, to a loop around Baščaršija. Buy tickets at kiosks (cheaper) or from the driver, and validate them on board.
