About The tram to Hrasnica
Construction of the new tram line from Ilidža to Hrasnica began in February 2024, financed with a €25 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the line opened to passengers in 2026. It is the first extension of Sarajevo’s historic tram network in decades, with new stops, traction substations and overhead lines, and it is run by the city transport company GRAS.
